2006 Golf OHSAA State Tournament

Josh Riddlebarger has HOLE-IN-ONE on 11th!

After winning their sixth (6) straight Southern Ohio Conference Divison I Title by 34 shots over their closest competitor--Eastern High School, the Clay golf team had other business on their mind--sectional, district, and state golf tournaments. 

To start this tournament run, the Clay High School golf team won the 2006 OHSAA Division III Golf Sectional @ Shawnee State Golf Course.  Ryan Hines lead all golfers with a 73 followed by Nik Blanton and Josh Riddlebarger with 81s.  Cameron Caseman also shot a 92.  The top four teams advanced to the District.  They were Clay, South Webster, Eastern Pike, and North Adams.

At the District tournament, the Clay High School golf team finished second.  Easten High School was first. Clay shot a 346 lead by Ryan Hines with a 75.  He was followed by Nik Blanton with a 88, Josh Riddllebarger with a 90, and Evan Keaton with a 93.  They were two shots behind Eastern Pike who shot a 344, and one ahead of North Adams with a 347 to advance to the State Tournament. 

The top two finish at the District tournament qualifieid the Panther golf team for their third straight trip to the OHSAA Division III State Tournament. 

Josh Riddlebarger had a HOLE-IN-ONE on the 11th hole during Saturday's second round.
