Clay High School
Many vendors will be participating. A wide variety of merchandise will be available that will afford you the opportunity to do some early Christmas shopping. Interested vendors should contact Judy Caseman at 740-285-1395. Cost of vendor space varies with size/needs. The first four Clay student groups to contact Mrs. Caseman will get a free table for their merchandise.
The alumni will feature a pancake breakfast (9:00AM-11:00AM). Chili, hot dogs, chips, and drinks will be served from 11:00AM-3:00PM.
Proceeds benefit the Clay Schools Legacy Scholarship Fund. This event is sponsored by the Clay Alumni Association.
After 18 years as a math teacher in the Clay Local School District, Mr. Wayne Warnock has decided to retire.
He said, "I have mixed emotions and will miss everyone, but it is time for something different. I'm not sure what that is yet, but it's time." He worked at the local Workman's Compensation Office for 15 years prior to coming to Clay. Mr. Warnock is a 1976 graduate of East High School and is a huge Columbus Blue Jackets fan.
A member of the Clay Local School District community passed away unexpectedly this weekend. Mr. Dave Leightenheimer, a long-time teacher and coach in the Clay LSD, was a mentor for many of the coaches and athletes in the area. He was a member of the Clay Coaches' Hall of Fame as well as the OHSAA Officials' Hall of Fame.
The annual CF walk at Clay will be held on Friday, May 8, 2015, starting at 12:45. A CF car show will be held in the parking lot that evening.
