Cole Gilliland (11), Cameron King (11), Brody Riffe (11), and Alaina Stowers (11) attended the annual Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) Leadership Conference on Tuesday, October 6, 2016, at the OSU Student Union in Columbus, Ohio.  Approximately 1,500 student-athletes from around the state of Ohio attended the conference.  PICTURES

 

The OHSAA Leadership Conference is sponsored by the OHSAA Foundation, the OHSAA, and the six individual district boards.  The conference included information on the qualities of leadership, personal accountability, thinking like an athlete, leadership development, ingredients of success, and community service. The OHSAA Foundation Student Leadership Conference is the largest one-day student leadership conference in the nation.

Speakers and guests included Dr. Dan Ross, Commissioner of the OHSAA; Clay Hall, Sports Director ABC 6/Fox 28 "Football Fever"; Bobby Carpenter, Ohio State Football All-American and Linebacker, NFL - Patriots; Chris Hahn, WWE/WWF Wrestler and Actor, Captain America; Larry Hoepfner, Columbus Blue Jackets; Shawn Harper, NFL (Rams, Colts, Titans); Joel Penton, OSU Football and Community Service/Academic Achievement; Eddie Slowikowski, Three-Time All-American Track (USA Gold Medal Winner, Pan Am Games); and Harvey Alston (host), an award-winning motivational speaker.

The OHSAA Foundation Student Leadership Conference is the largest one-day student leadership conference in the nation.
