Clay High School NHS Induction Ceremony 2024

Clay High School held its National Honor Society Induction on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, in the high school cafetorium.  Five new students were inducted into Clay’s National Honor Society.

 

The new members inducted were Sarah Cassidy, daughter of James and Melissa of Portsmouth; Alayna Fife, daughter of Brian Fife and Sarah and Tony Cottrill of Portsmouth; Mackenzie Hicks, daughter of Lauren and Josh Vastine of Rosemount and Cory and Cassie Hicks of South Portsmouth; Macyn Johnson, daughter of Randy and Megan Johnson of Portsmouth; and Tristan Large, son of Cal and Kindra Large of Rubyville. These five new members joined Mallory Cassidy, Abby Clausing, Delaney James, Megan King, and Jaira Roberts as current Clay NHS members.

The guest speaker for the ceremony was Mrs. Stacey Bailey.  Members of the chapter are selected based on the criteria of character, leadership, scholarship, and service; and members must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and meet the other chapter requirements to be considered.  Members are involved in many activities and service projects throughout the year.  The co-advisers of the Clay National Honor Society are Mrs. Lisa Phillips and Mr. Mark Rose.
