Clay Elementary (K-5) students participated in the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Math-a-thon in March.

The students exceeded their goal of $4500.00. Because they reached their goal, Mr. Piguet and Mr. Breech agreed to be "pied" by the top three students. The top donator, Tristan Large, a second grader, had a donation of $320.00.  The second largest donators were Kylee Watson, third grade, and Nadine Watson, second grade, with donations of $154.00 each.

Clay has been participating in the Math-a-thon since 1986 and has raised $100,000.00.  St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is internationally recognized for its pioneering research and treatment of children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. Ranked one of the best pediatric cancer hospitals in the country, St. Jude is the first and only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center devoted solely to children.
