CES Collects Money for St. Jude's Research

Clay Elementary (K-5) students participated in the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Math-a-thon in March. 

The students collected $6633.06 this year (the largest amount ever raised)!

Kyle Reed, Mrs. Rider's First Grade, raised $500;  Tristan Large, Mrs. Strickland's Third Grade, Mrs. Strickland's raised $500; and Hannah Felts, Mrs. Tipton's Fourth Grade, raised $270.  These students will each get to throw a pie in the face of Mr. Piguet, Mr. Breech, and Mrs. Rider for helping reach our goal of $4500.00.  Students who raised, at least, $20 will attend a trip to The Earl Thomas Conley Park on May 12.  Way to go Clay Panthers!

Clay has been participating in the Math-a-thon since 1986 and has raised over $100,000.00.  St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is internationally recognized for its pioneering research and treatment of children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. Ranked one of the best pediatric cancer hospitals in the country, St. Jude is the first and only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center devoted solely to children.
