Clay Receives Check from AEP Ohio
AEP Ohio Presents Energy Efficiency Incentive to the Clay Local School District
Rosemount, OH – AEP Ohio, a unit of American Electric Power, presented a check in the amount of $28,965.42 to the Clay Local School District for the district’s participation in the AEP Ohio’s energy efficiency/peak demand response programs for businesses.
The school district’s energy efficiency upgrade project included lighting, automated systems, and heating and cooling controls in the new Clay Local Schools facility. The project focused on high efficiency systems and automated controls. By upgrading and installing energy efficient systems throughout their buildings, they have reduced their annual energy consumption.
Tony Mantell, Clay superintendent, and members of the Clay student council accepted the check from Kelly Bussler, an AEP Ohio representative, on behalf of the district. “We are very appreciative of this check from AEP Ohio. They have been great partners throughout this process, and we hope to increase our energy efficiency with this money,” said Mr. Mantell.
AEP Ohio has been offering business customers incentives for participating in energy efficiency and peak demand reduction projects for implementing industrial process and improvement technologies that reduce energy consumption since the programs began in 2009.
