Clay Science Day

 

Congratulations to Hannah Oliver and Jensen Warnock who received an excellent and superior rating at the District 14 Science Day held at Shawnee State University on March 31, 2012. Hannah’s project was titled: “Hand Sanitizers: Do They Really Work?” and Jensen's project was titled: “Vermiculture: Agricultural Benefits of Worm Castings.”

 

Grant Cayton received a superior rating and will participate at the State Science Day on May 5 at The Ohio State University.  Aashish Vemsani and Eva McCleese received excellent ratintgs for their projects.

Grant's project, "Does Temperature Affect the Fizz?,"  a chemistry project determining if water temperature affects how fast an Alka-Seltzer tablet will dissolve received an excellent rating at the state fair.  At the Clay Middle School Science Fair, he won First Place (Sixth Grade).  At the Scioto County Science Fair, he received Second Place Overall (5th/6th Grade Division) and a $125 Scholarship.  His District 14 Science Fair included a Superior Rating and a $60 Scholarship.
