Clay HS' 2018 Wendy's HS Heisman Winners

The Clay Local School District Salutes Outstanding Student Applicants and School Winners in the Race for the 2018 Wendy's High School Heisman 

 Clay High School is extending special congratulations to Tyler Phillips and Jensen Warnock Read more: Clay HS' 2018 Wendy's HS Heisman Winnerswho were named the school winners for the prestigious Wendy’s High School Heisman Award. Jensen was also selected as a state, female semi-finalist.  To be eligible for this award, students must display academic aptitude, athletic talent, and community leadership. 

Wendy’s High School Heisman program, awarded in conjunction with the collegiate Heisman, celebrates the achievements of the nation’s top high school seniors both in and out of the classroom.  Just as the collegiate Heisman is known for being the top award in college football, the WHSH award is known for being the most prestigious award at the high school level. The award encourages future leadership by recognizing well-balanced lifestyles at an early age.

Warnock Earned Girl Scout's Gold Award

Jensen Warnock, a senior at Clay High School and Ambassador Girl Scout in Troop 1190, recently earned her Gold Award.  The Gold Award is the highest and most prestigious achievement within Girls Scouts and it is the equivalent to the Eagle Scout Award.  It is the most difficult Girl Scout Award to earn – only 5% of eligible Girls Scouts successfully earn the Gold Award.

Girls identify a need in their community and resolve to make a plan to take action to address it.  Jensen’s project was entitled “Set to Win.”
